Partners in Prevention (PIP)

Founded in 2000, PIP is proud to be celebrating over 25 years of prevention and health promotion within higher education. Our programs and services serve our college campuses, as well as community partners, retailers, and coalitions across the state of Missouri.

Core Values and Mission

Core Values

We believe meaningful change happens through strong partnerships among campuses, students, communities, and prevention professionals.

We are committed to creating environments that support the health, safety, success, and sense of belonging of all students. Substance misuse, violence, mental health, and student sense of belonging is intersectional and must.

We work with all campus communities in Missouri to provide evidence-based prevention strategies, training, and support.

We promote professional development, training, evaluation, and the ongoing pursuit of knowledge to strengthen prevention efforts.

We measure outcomes, evaluate programs, and use data to ensure our work creates meaningful and lasting change.

We recognize that promoting health, safety, and well-being is a collective responsibility that requires engagement from students, faculty, staff, administrators, and community partners.

Mission

Missouri Partners in Prevention unites campuses and communities to create lasting, positive individual and environmental change through research, strategic vision, professional development, and evidence-based prevention initiatives that support student well-being and success.
