Missouri’s Good Samaritan law
Missouri’s Good Samaritan law offers protections for both an individual who seeks or obtains medical assistance for someone who is experiencing a drug or alcohol overdose or other medical emergency and the individual who is experiencing said overdose or emergency. Immunity covers possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, keeping or maintaining a public nuisance, alcohol sale to a minor, possession of an altered ID, purchase or possession of alcohol by a minor, and violation of a restraining order, probation, or parole. The law does not protect against outstanding warrants or other offenses not specifically protected under this law (e.g. intent to distribute).
