Some students try to manage pain, stress, or other concerns by misusing pain medications (opioids), either with their own prescription or with medications that they do not have prescriptions for. With the MoSafeRx initiative we hope to educate students about the dangers of prescription pain medication misuse related to overdoses and to empower students to administer naloxone and call 911, knowing they are protected under Missouri’s Good Samaritan Law.
